Hubby busy!

Just to set things straight.....

We have checked bearings, nothing wrong but put in new ones
We have had the axle and suspension checked by a company that does transports.
The trailer went there exactly as it is when we leave for a trip. No issues.
We have been told by a few people it could be tires, we have to change them anyway. If the problem is solved great.

We appreciate all you have suggested and as you can see we have done the things suggested. We will wait and see what new tires do and then go from there.

If the trailer tires are all wearing in the inside edge the axles have lost their camber either from over loading or from speed over rough roads.

So LouLou...As we understand your post, all four of your tires are wearing prematurely on the inside edge of each of them. And it is not an alignment, or overload condition. Just how many miles do you have on these tires? What is size and load rating on the tires? And the load rating of the axles? And the scale weight of the trailer?

Are you sure all four tires are wearing on the inside edge by an equal amount? Or are the front wearing more than rear or visa/versa? Or the left two wearing more than the two on the right? Visa/Versa?

When you went to the alignment shop, was your trailer loaded as it would be for a camping trip? All the clothes, groceries, drawers and fridge full, and storage areas with chairs, charcoal grill, etc. Or was your trailer empty as it would be before or after the camping season?

There is a very explainable reason for any uneven tire wear issue. Especially when all tires are wearing inside edges. And if you see that wear developing on tires that have only a few thousand miles on them. If your tires have 25,000 miles on them, wear on the edges is a whole lot easier to see. And may not really be all that bad a situation. But your post here leaves a lot of information open for speculation.

I gotta say that for all four tires to be wearing prematurely on the inside, it should be very obvious what the problem is. And if you want really want to know the answer, I think you would benefit from a second opinion.

I hate to see you spend a lot of money for a new set of good tires, and wear them out quickly. I suspect strongly, that the tires are not the problem.

Ok, then. You've checked the axles, replaced the bearing, and now are getting new tires. There is not too much more to it.

May be a reputable company. And alignments is all they do. Do they do heavy trailer alignments? If they cannot figure out your problem, you need to get a second opinion.

This whole story doesn't pass my smell test. A very reputable company, that ONLY does alignments. And they cannot tell you what your problem is. Did they advise that you should replace your wheel bearings?

I have never heard of a company that ONLY does alignments. Never thought there was enough demand for alignments that would make a successful business without selling tires, suspension work, collision damage, etc.

Sorry, when I said this is all they do I did not mean only alignments. They work with commercial vehicles. We know not to have a RV dealer deal with this issue. Hubby was told by another person on forum to check bearings. Not a big expense so he replaced them. So far, nothing to do with the axle has been the problem. So...we have ruled out axle and bearings.

I'll bet that if and when you figure it out, the tires were a symptom of what the true ailment is. Imagine all the folks that would possible have that same problem if the tires were the true problem.. Tain't likely to me, but I ain't no expert by any means.

It will be nice if it was just the original cheap tires.

No this was not an RV dealership, they do not have qualified people. This was at a company where this is all they do.
