A big thank you to whomever invented the digital remote reading meters! We used to have regular billing issues with the old "welders mask" meter at our Adirondack vacation cottage. Between estimated readings all winter and seasonal part-time meter readers in the summer, it was a mess. We once got a 2 month bill for over $10,000, and we were told to "go ahead and pay it, we'll fix it at the next reading." Sure we will! Since the digital remote reading meter was installed in 2003, there have been no billing issues at all.
