Greenland Cove CG, Danforth, Maine. Hurricane winds here with 4 - 5 inches of rain. Power out for 13 hours. Waves on lake are 4' to 5' high and pounding the docks and the lone boat that did not get pulled out. Campground was full last night (82 sites). Kid's birthday party held today as planned. Parade, cookout (hosted by CG management), and fireworks postponed until tomorrow. Patrons spirits high with lots of discussion about the storm. The "can do & will survive" attitude flourished for most all campers regardless of impacts from storm. Some tents, easy ups, and awnings were damaged, but folks stuck it out. Trees down which required a little handiwork from my Sthil chainsaw. All is well because the worst day camping is still much better than the best day working!
