You sure sound a LOT like my wife!
I did see a couple of crocuses back in April but didn't get overly excited at the first sign of spring. A few days later they were covered up under 3 feet of snow.
Truth be told, I don't mind the snow this time of year. I don't even bother clearing the drive way as it'll melt off in a few days. Though, the wife doesn't enjoy the "trek" in the snow as we've been parking up by the road instead of the house.
What part of the state do you live? I'm west of the Springs about 35 miles at 9100 feet-ish.
