Left my Colorado cabin yesterday morning and it was 30 degrees. Been there for 2 weeks doing fire mitigation. Nothing like dropping a 40 ft tree into 4 ft of snow and then trying to limb it. Fire mitigation for those of you not familiar with it is cutting every tree down with in 30 ft of a structure, limbing up 10 ft for 100 ft around a structure and putting a non-combustible around the structure for 7 ft. Then hoping your insurance company will not raise your rates by 3-4 times because you are in the mountains. Hard to get into the mindset of it when you are working in snow,m mud , freezing rain or falling snow. That is my rant for the day.
