Marquette- sounds like you have your hands full.
Definitely know what mitigation is all about. A small saving grace in the High Country is the lower temps compared to the Front Range.... some 25^ less overall where I am at, not that temps alone prevent fires.
I am quite some distance to the nearest thick wooded area but the willows have overgrown my property and am thinning those back. Those things are like really big artichokes... keep peeling back more and more and they never seem to get to the core... and the dead branches underneath seem to be more prevalent than the live branches! I tossed the pruning shears and got out the chain saw!
A lot of work in the clearing that you did... hopefully it will not be needed this summer.
