I am starting to get sick of the snow...

It may be May, maybe, where you are...

...but in the High Country it is still winter! There are parts of hills on the northside of my property where there is still snow measured in feet. We had another 2+ inches yesterday that only accumulated on the grass, most of which has already evaporated, but yea- it all covered this morning. It is gray-overcast with flurries all day today.

I like the snow... but I could use a nice warm 50^ day here sometime soon. Was thinking about mounting the camper and heading south for a while.

...just venting a little I guess.

  • I guess it all is a matter of perception.

Yup, a little snow on the shady spots is a lot better than tornadoes or rampaging forest fires. The whole family was whining about waking up into a smoke haze a few nights ago. We've got it easy when the El Nino is doing it's thing.
  • Yea- you folks down in the Front Range have been getting some decent spring snow accumulations. We did not get that hammered and had a fair winter. I think only 250" for the year... nothing like the late snow of a couple of years ago that REALLY tallied up, I think that was closer to 400"

"Warm" is subjective so 50's would be a welcome change. For me, summers rarely see 90's which would be "hot"... and yet, I will sleep with the windows slightly open in the winter for fresh air. It is not so much the temperature (I do not mind cold) but would like to see a little more sun... at least that might make it "feel" more like May (LOL.)

I know how you feel. We did get in our first trip 2 weeks ago after a week delay. But then we had cold weather and had to extend our departure by one day due to almost a foot of snow at the campground in Colorado Springs. Cleaning off the slides was an adventure but made easy by a ladder provided by the campground. ??
  • 50 degrees is warm??????????? Reminds me of years back when I drove my Convertible to visit my cousing south of Duluth and they said it was "warm" and we should put the top down. I don't think so.
