well for me it is a much easier/cleaner system to use. easier to rinse out a "garden" hose rather than a stinky slinky with corrugations, etc, in the side walls that retain a cup of "stuff" which went on my shoes. easier to store 25 ft of hose than 25 ft of stinky slinky.
