Well, one thing I noticed...
The 3" hose did a better job getting rid of the "floaters" (not counting the rinse). When emptying with the 3" hose, I noticed that the floaters got sucked out at the moment that the water level dropped down below the top of the 3" opening. You can kind of see this in the video. (We only had the one camera going. Maybe next time, I'll set up two.)
So, if you didn't have the tank filled up past the top of the opening, perhaps that wouldn't have happened.
I was thinking to try some kind of tank additive test next, but perhaps this would make a better test: Compare a full tank dump to a 1/4 tank dump to test the conventional wisdom. There would be fewer variables there, as I would test the same 3" hose with each. I could even add a lid with a vent stack as some have suggested.
Is there a way to do a "poll" on here so everyone can vote on what they want to see next?
