My new 1965 Ford F-100 , V8, 4 speed , custom cab, short wide bed ran me $2235.00 in January 1965. First year of the Twin I Beam front suspension. I drove it 50 years. Just sold it to a Guy back east last year. It was rust free. What I found out was that the 65 would do everything that a 2015 will do that is expected of pickup trucks.
