I hadn't seen a "double" slide like this before.

We have one, and love the room it gives you in the bedroom.. We enjoy sitting outside under the awning, this gives you the room that a slide across from each other give without taking away from the awning coverage . .

Been around for awhile. Has to be a reason why it did not become popular. I'm thinking of all that extra machinery. More stuff to go wrong. More cost for what gain? Everyone is looking for a gimmick.

Here's one I posted a few week ago that I saw at my local RV dealership:

I saw one at the Hershey RV Show. I'm not familiar with slides but, it seems to me it's making the slide out more complicated.

It looks like more of a novelty than anything practical. Why not just reinforce the slide out and make it bigger? JMO

National RV introduced the "TeleSlide" telescoping slide in 2007.

We looked at one a couple of months ago, really made the bedroom big. The bed sits in the second slideout, made it feel to claustrophobic to me.
