- elijahsdreamExplorerWell I have her home. The shop man said come and get her. So the old man went and picked her up. The ties have been severed and that is OK now. I honestly wish some of you were present to see this damage. I have photos, just need to figure out how to post.
Since it has been at the shop, for ONE WEEK, the damage has doubled. The shop man states that he wanted to rip it all apart, because the last time he went in it, he noticed a severe wobble he had not felt before. Oh yes, the landing gear is starting to collapse on the side with the issue. I guess the big guy in the sky made the parting of ways easier on me by bringing her completely and totally to her knees. There is no salvage now, and thats what the shop man said too.
So, in stride we go. Waiting for the insurance still.
Thanks for being patient and kind. - elijahsdreamExplorerOT. Haha small world TOOBOLD. Profession of my dreams. Go to work loving my job, some cant often say that. I am one of the lucky ones.

I asked someone who is in the industry, my agent or rep. and I do as I am told. Why are we still going thru this? I told you all flat out....the insurance man admitted it was their error. THEIR ERROR! This conversation was not why I came here. I wanted to talk to a person who has had the same issue or similar.
If I tell you that a geriatric patient post cva doesn't need an ambulatory device, even though their vestibular area has the infarct present.. Do you do the opposite? That is my area of expertise, do you know to disagree with me?
It may seem I was in error to you. But when you ask the "professionals" repeatedly, and you r told the same thing, and you have never been thru ANY insurance claim, well Sir, I trust people and I trust what they tell me.
Your talking my language are you PT or OT? Sorry, about your trailer I hope everything works out for you. - garyhauptExplorerelijahsdream ...I have sent you a private message.
Gary Haupt - Grit_dogNavigatorStill confused about this situation. I can't see how an indoor stored RV goes from hero to zero with a couple rain storms. Pre existing damage is the likely cause.
Right now you need to find out an accurate retail value for your rig and stick to that price with the ins co. If you still owe a bunch and won't have enough leftover after payoff on it to replace it and don't qualify for another loan then that is not the ins co fault.
Good luck with the outcome. I hope it somehow works out in your favor. - srt20ExplorerPlease keep us updated, and who is your insurance company?
Stinks what had happened. Hopefully it will work out to your satisfaction.
Btw, this is a pretty good forum to learn some things. But you will always find people who have no purpose in life other than to belittle others. Apparently they need to act like this to make themselves have any amount of self worth. It's easy to talk big behind a keyboard. - FunnyCamperExplorer IIelijahsdream....sounds like a red tape mess.
let us know the outcome.
one thing tho, in the end, it is just a 'thing' and another CAN take its place as your baby.
anything alive, can not be replaced the same, stuff is just stuff in the end.
now it is all about financial outcome. Hope it all works out in your favor!!!!!! - elijahsdreamExplorerCamperfamily- the whole situation is setting in and thru all of the advice on here I am begginning to understand some things a little better. If I ever am blessed to own a camper again. You can betcher heiny it's gonna be an oldie. I don't ever want to go thru this again. I want something I can fix myself.
And when I get on here now, I just skim the names BEFORE I read the posts. So thank you to the above posters. But I understand, as I am a therapist and have worked with many folks, that some folks just can't help the meanness they exude. They are unaware how the constant drilling of someone who previously asked for it to stop, only looks poor upon themselves. I did not block, sometimes that just feeds the fire. Now dont get me wrong, ain't no way I'd ever camp beside them, but if they are focused on me....well, someone else is spared.
Hopefully I will hear from the "payment people" as the insurance man calls them, today. If I do, I will let you know. After I process it for a bit. Don't like jumping to conclusions or gettin my undies in a wad. Hmmmmmmm. - camperfamilyExplorerStrange situation you have. I'd be seeking professional advice – second opinion on the RV and likely at least a consultation with legal council. Remember, if you decide to take the insurance co to court things change – and get drawn out. Were I in your shoes I'd be worried about being SOL and as I said looking for professional advice. BTW - you can hire independent adjusters to review your claim and help battle insurance companies. Of course professionals cost.
I know it sux, but make sure you step back and realize when it is time to cut your losses. Legal cases can be very costly (as you likely know) to the point where its just not worth it. If the offer you a settlement consider it while looking at units you can afford, if thats even an option. Personally I'd rather be camping with my boys in a older, smaller but clean unit than not at all.
Hope my rambling can help. - Bird_FreakExplorer II

Water-Bug,
I think you are preaching to yourself. She has been advised to block your post. So RAVE ON and maybe it will make you feel good.
