I wanna be COOL!!

Just bought a new 2013 30' Puma and while the AC does a pretty darn good job it does tend to get a little warmer inside more so than what I like (pushing 80 on a really hot humid 90+ degree day with no shade). Has anyone had any success with one of those portable 8k or 12k AC units like I have seen at Lowes and Home Depot to help out a little or is it more trouble than its worth?

P.S. My wife and kids tell me that I will never be cool but I am pretty sure they are not talking about the same thing here!

Thanks in advance

Michael
  • On our trailer, during the summer time:

    We had to --->

    block out the 2 Sky-lights,

    make sure shades are pulled,

    run couple small fans,

    makes a big differnce.

    Those portable A/C units, I believe you need a way to plimb out the condensation/water they pull out of the air, so I don't know how you could do this easily in a travel trailer.
