I was talked into buying a service contract, but now....

Folks need to realize that dealers sell those warranties because the company that backs them pays the dealer. This is a huge profit maker for dealers and you can offer them less for a given warranty.
They wanted $2500 for the extended warranty on my truck. I told them I would only pay them $1K and that was it. They argued but finally gave in. Salesman told me they pay $800 so anything over that is profit.
BTW, I never used the extended warranty on my truck . It was a total waste of money.
