Ice Maker

Hello

Our new Motor home has a residential frig which includes an ice maker. I turned on the ice maker but no water. I took out a drawer next to the frig and noticed the ice maker waterline hooked to a small valve. I turned on the valve but still no water getting to the ice maker. I did turn on the ice maker (flipped the metal rod down). I am wondering if there is somewhere else I need to check for a valve?

  • You have to let the ice maker cycle and activate the water solenoid valve.
Let it run a couple of days before you get excited.
  • Try reaching in between metal levers on ice maker teeth. Sometimes you can lift up on it and force water in

When I turned on the valve I did hear what sounded like a poof of air. We are taking a trip in a couple of weeks so I'll see if it just needs time.
  • If the fridge has a owners manual review it for a hidden switch. I found my switch inside, where the ice tray is.

  • Burch,

If water line that the valve is tied into is not pressurized, there will be no water going to the icemaker. Even if you are on city water or have the pump powered up, there is no guaranty that the other end of the line got connected to someplace that it will do any good. BTDT
