The wife and I play this game...
For us that money would mean retirement, and retirement would mean full time rving. As much as I like my current TV/TT there would be an upgrade involved. Vacationing is one thing, full time would require some more room. That means a 5er and a big ol' diesel burning dually.
I would love to help the average joe that is working his tail off, and just trying to do the right thing. I know it is not PC to say, but we would help that traditional family, who got married, then had kids, and are now just getting by. We see them all the time in GC. They use that weeks vacation for family time in whatever they can afford to get them to the GC. They don't have their hand out, are not expecting money for doing nothing....average folks doing average things.
Wouldn't it be cool to see that carpenter with the worn out truck, pulling that used pop-up, with three kids in tow....and go buy him a new truck and new pop-up :E
How about that guy who can't afford to fix his own run down mobile home..yet he gladly gives his time (he has no money to give) when someone needs a car repaired, or the old lady needs her gutters cleaned, etc... Try to hand him a couple bucks and he won't take it...he didn't do it for the money, he did it because they needed the help.
Be nice to bulldose the mobile home....slide a new one into its place.
Would NOT give a nickel to someone with their hand out, but may throw a hundred or two in the guitar case of the guy atleast trying to entertain me for my money. Thousand dollar tip for that server at Cracker Barrel....you get the idea.
We would travel the country and smile every time we could do a random act of kindness.
