Well, along that line, I can only say I bought two campers so far, from different dealers. Both of them misrepresented the campers I bought right from the beginning. Of course, I didn't figure it out until AFTER the fact. So far, dealers are batting '0' with this buyer.
In one case Fleetwood manufacturer made it right. In the second case, Lance factory made it right. So, that means, I think, that I was right and the salesman was lying in both cases or the manufacturer would have stayed out of it. Of course, I had both problems documented on my paperwork so the salesman had the lies right there on paper ... but the camper was different than the paperwork. Just a note to show that life science research equipment salesman may be fine to buy equipment from, but too many dissatisfied buyers that are truly documented for it to be a simply disgruntled RV buyer ...
In fact, we've stopped several times over the years to look at a new RV, and felt like road kill when the vultures come out. First thing they ask, "How much can you spend, and can we run a credit report", that's right before telling us we can't sit in an RV without the salesman right there watching us. We understand they might have issues with some lowlife stealing or breaking stuff, but believe me, when we get out of our car, that's now how we present ourselves ...
