I agree with Why Wait. As for the trust the banks thing, Lantley, with all respect, it would be hard for me to disagree more with that statement.
Yes, on paper perhaps they can afford it, but does summer camp, swimming lessons, house repairs, braces now all go to the wayside. Because they now have this payment? When in fact they would have just as much fun camping in a tent? And been able to do so much more as a family?
I trust the banks about as far as I can throw them. For example I am sure I could buy a million dollar house, no brag just fact. I am sure I could get a loan, but could I do anything else, like take a vacation? With out question no, no out to dinner etc, so is that good for me and the family I think not
