Just a couple things to ponder here... For a 10 year loan, I am seeing rates around 5%. You can deduct interest off income tax, so for someone in the 25% tax bracket, that's something like 3.75 effective rate. On the other hand, the Vanguard Total Market Index over the last 10 years returned 8.5% annually, a period of time which included the recession. Even the Life Strategy Conservative Growth fund hit 5.6 over that time. So if you've got the cash to buy upfront, I say keep your funds, and take the loan :)
