Wellllll. Not necessarily. You said "A forum". Given that, I would agree with you. But applying those parameters to THIS forum, not so much.
Dialogue is HERE dependent upon the guidelines set by the moderator(s) du jour. Your opinions, and likely mine, might vary.
I have visited these forums under 2 Nom de Plumes for a total of 13 years. In all of that time I've met fewer posters than I can count one one hand, not including the thumb, who have the recognition of, or the ability to debate. There are hundreds who can argue and argue and argue ad nauseum.
My unsolicited advice? Stop thrashing a deceased equine and move on. Many of these folks will simply keep repeating. You don't need to.
