Oh, I agree with you 100%, but as I said, it is the exception. Think about the 4 million foreclosures that took place in the late 2000s. Who absorbed the cost.
I'm not knocking real estate, that is just an example of a typical American house. Not my statistics, but in addition to personal experience, I have no other to go on.
If we all made 500k on a house, there would be no houses less than that.
