We have one in the S&B house. We love it. The only catch is a magnet has to stick to any pot you want to use, so no Corningware. The surface of the stove, itself, does not get hot. The only heat is what is transferred BACK to it from the hot pot. If frying, we cover the stovetop with paper towels and put the pot on top of them. No problem, no cleanup of splatter. When you are done, wad up the paper towels and throw them away.
