When I traveled out of the country a lot, I would always hit the cheap toy aisle and load up on cheap toys to give to the street kids that never had a toy. Cheap crayons, markers, coloring books, jacks, marbles, the airplanes that you mentioned-except they were balsa wood, bubbles, play-doh, little cars, balls, frisbees, lots of cheap little toys. (I would also load up on bite sized candies. Was a hero on the plane one Christmas day in El Salvador when we were not allowed off the plane for more than 8 hours with no food or water...)
