The bummer thing about not having a tow vehicle is, if you need to go to the store for something, and it's not within walking distance, you have to break down ( put everything away ) in order to drive the coach. That's where a bicycle comes in handy.
As far as RV Park rates, you get a break for weekly sites. Monthly and seasonal sites are much cheaper. Consider joining Passport America, and if you are over 65, you can get a senior pass that gives you 50% discount on National Park, BLM, and other camp spots.
Parking while in transit... We are much more comfortable staying at Cabela's, Lowe's, Home Depot's/ Menards, and casinos vs. Walmart.
