insect prevention and removal from front of rv

Is there something that can be applied prior to traveling that would facilitate easy removal of bugs from the front of the RV? Something that would not damage the paint job. I reside in Florida, and before I get out of the state, the front is covered with dead bugs and when I do stop I try to scrub off as best I can . Any suggestions would be appreciated.

  • This time of year and in September, you'll be running into love-bugs. They can literally cover the front of a vehicle. They need to be removed within a short period of time, or the mess will oxidize and pit both paint and chrome. As a native Floridian, I've used wet dryer sheets for years. They easily remove the bugs if addressed early on. The sheets do leave a white film. So wash and rinse the area well after bug removal.
