Install CB radio or not?
I have a nice CB radio from a few years back from our last RV. With cell phones, GPS with traffic/etc., and FRS radios, does CB still have a place under the dash? I don't just want to throw it away...

The Stories: Many years ago coming home in Southern lower MI (I-94) after the family Christmas.. Channel 19 told me of an overturned truck,,,,black ice condition,,, I started slowing down.. Came to a stop at 1/2 of a 4 car accident, Provided shelter till Sheriff's Deputy arrived to write it up. Wound up taking both families to their home (Only slightly out of my way) no damage no suffering on my part.
Had it not been for the CB.. I'd likely not have been so lucky.
Story 2: A few years ago, south bound I-75 in KY about oh.. MM 76.5-77.
Cb (Chan 19) Goes off telling me of not one, but two FATAL accidents about MM 73.. Exit 76 fast approaching,, I'm in the right (Both meanings of that word) lane.. Hit the turn signal and got to the end of the EXIT just as police closed the ENTRANCE.. Found parking, Supper, Breakfast and on down a free and clear freeway many hours later.. No stress from the traffic jam, Blood pressure normal, Calm and controlled all the way.
Not like the poor guy who was behind me when I hit the turn signal switch.. he had to suffer the traffic jam.
ARE CB's worth it.... Yup. Sure are.
