I'm old enough and worldly enough to handle any language a trucker can dish out as long as it's English...lol
Truckers are not the problem - it's home-based yo-yos with linear amps that can "walk over" anything or anybody.
The guy we would hear when coming into L.A. (CA) out by San Berdoo could blister *ANY* trucker's ears - and it was a challenge for him to do just that! Some tried with ZERO success!
He could put your "worldly" out of business with ease!
Last time I used CB was 1986 on an "all over most of the USA" trip from West to East - and back.
Had good? info only *once* in the East - trucker said there was a cop just before exit XXX - but I wasn't speeding, so no big deal.
Then there was the time a group of us were using CB (not on ch 19) for
our convoy to Glamis. Passing the scales, two truckers were discussing where they could score some dope when they got to L.A.
As I passed the scales, I said I was in the Pete a few rigs behind 'em and was going to kick both their butts for making "us" look bad!
The "back peddling" was a riot!!..:B
So....IMO - even the routine drivel is *NOT* "listening pleasure" -
lots better audio entertainment and/or info available.
My CB is on a shelf....somewhere.
