Only way to go. Rock solid. Lots of adjustment. Mine took a while to install because my old step was welded on. I used a 4 inch angle grinder thin blade to cut everything. It wasn't an install that everyone would tackle but the end result is still worth paying labor.
It doesn't seem that regular steps are breaking and dumping people on the ground all the time but knowing how solid these steps are is very nice.
I also built a mini deck out of three pieces of 2x4 and deck board. It's about 3 feet wide and 2 feet deep. The adjustable legs sit on it and a bristle plastic door mat is screwed down on it. The mat doesn't blow away. The wood pad isn't something everyone would want to handle but I just fasten it on my utility trailer.
