Installing standard household toilet in a RV??

Our first trailer (way back when) had a residential toilet in it. Someone had used the trailer to live in while they remodeled a house so it was hooked to the house sewer system. On our first (and only) trip using that toilet, we ran out of water by the first morning. Learned a lot on that trip.
