This is the way it is in Canada. You need to purchase collision coverage if you want or need it (bank financing requires it). Liability is covered under the TV. Can't forget about comprehensive too (fire, theft etc.).
X2 Those saying that the tow vehicle covers collision better check their policy. Mine doesn't.
