Check with your individual policies to be sure. For us, tow vehicle policy covers liability in the event that the trailer, while attached to the TV, causes an accident. It does not, however, cover an accident caused by the TT when not attached to the TV (e.g. if you leave it unchocked and it rolls into something/someone). The collision policy on the TV DOES NOT cover the TT. You have to buy separate TT collision coverage that covers your TT in the event of a collision (e.g. an uninsured driver damages your TT, or you get in an at-fault accident).
