Be sure to check out the JETPACK... This gives you a 20GB dataplan and uses the VERIZON NETWORK... Cost around $70 a month I think.

I use the VERIZON MIFI 2200 unit plan grandfathered in a few years back. This give me 3GB dataplan and is a stand alone unit that produces a secure WIFI HOTSPOT for up to five of your WIFI enabled devices.
If I was to need more data then I will be changing to the MILLENICOM 20GB network that uses the VERIZON system.
This setup give you great VERIZON INTERNET connections anywhere you can pick up Verizon cell phone service. These units are standalong and mine normally sits in its WILSON SLEEK CRADLE Docking station that uses an external antenna.
When we want to hit the trails or want to sit on the beach we just pop the MIFI unit in my shirt pocket and can operate our tablets and other device any where we want to...
