One of the things I do find irritating about so many tailgaters is that they're are so focused on tailgating that they don't pass when they have an opportunity. I also think that with the advent of the interstate system and so many 4-lane secondary roads, particularly close to cities, many people, newer drivers in particular, aren't familiar with the concept of passing.
