It is the journey. Isn't the reason for RV'ing to see the country?
We’re all different of course. In my case I have to say yes and no. I enjoy traveling this beautiful land, but typically when I want to explore I use my Caravan which gets far better mileage than my 7mpg Class A, is infinitely more pleasant to drive, and I can comfortably camp in it if I choose. I only use my RV to relocate from one geographic area to another and use as a home base. This summer for instance I’m planning to head to Northern WI for a summer of exploring, fishing and fall grouse hunting. I don’t expect to do much RV traveling while there, that’s what my Caravan (and a motorcycle) is for. In the fall I’ll relocate to SD for a few weeks of pheasant hunting, and finally I’ll relocate once again to southeast AZ for the winter months quail hunting and more exploring. Next year I’ll do mostly the same thing but probably spend summer and fall in Montana. So in my situation traveling on the interstates in my RV makes a lot of sense. Plus it eases the hemorrhoids... Oops! I mean tailgaters!
