Inverter all zeros

I recently got my motorhome back from getting some warranty work done. I had put the battery switch on "store" before I left the motor home at the dealer. We are planning a trip tomorrow and I went by the motorhome during lunch to put some clothes back in. We store it in a garage and I leave it plugged in to AC when in storage. I couldn't remember if I turned the battery switch back on so I put the switch back to "use" and pushed the green inverter button to turn it on. I usually do this before a trip. Usually the inverter panel will show the battery voltage in red numbers. The inverter turned on, but the numbers are all zeros. Everything was working fine before I left the RV at the dealer. I believe the inverter is a Xantrex 1800 watt. I am at work so I don't have the manual with me but does anyone know what all zeros means? The batteries can't be that low?!

  • I assume the battery was too low at some point and the inverter had to be cycled off-on to reset.
  • Went back to the motorhome after work. Inverter still had 3 zeros across the display. The panel also showed a red light that indicates a fault. The manual said if the red fault light was on, to lookup the fault code. I looked up the fault codes in the manual but all the fault codes started with an E (E01, E03, etc.) I didn't see anything listed for 000. I unplugged the motorhome from AC and opened the fridge to determine if the inverter was working and it was not. I turned off the inverter and pulled the motor home out of the garage and started the generator. I believe the generator starts from the house batteries. The generator started right up so I figured that the batteries couldn't be to low. I turned on the inverter again and it started working. Showed a green light (on utility) and showed the voltage at 13.8. I then turned off the generator and the light went to yellow which shows on battery power. I opened the fridge and it was running on the inverter. Whatever starting the generator did got the inverter working again. Hopefully this was a one time event but I doubt it.
