InvisaBrake / Jetta

I have a 2002 Jetta TDI (5 Speed) that I have decided to tow four down. Likely I'll get the RoadMaster Sterling tow bar and baseplate. What I am not set on is the braking system. I like the idea of the InvisaBrake since I'll likely disconnect frequently when I do tow the Jetta but I have read about concerns with the Jetta electrical, computer and alarm system.

Has anyone installed the InvisaBrake on a 1999 to 2005 Jetta? If so did you use the diodes to connect to the Jetta lights or did you use supplemental lights? Any lessons learned?
