invisabrake/toad running lights not working

We have a 2005 36' Winnebago Journey diesel pusher and tow a 2011 Chevy Silverado PU. A dealer installed a Roadmaster Invisa-brake system for the towed that worked about a year and a half and we have had to put it back in the shop. The running lights for night driving on the PU truck will not operate while hooked up to the motorhome but the turn signals and brake lights work perfectly. The dealer is baffled and cannot figure out why the running lights are not working after checking and rechecking the wiring. I am hoping a Forum person has experienced this and can offer some advise. Thank you.
  • First off, do the tail/parking lights work on the truck when not connected to MH? Second do you have power to the tail light circuit at the MH plug in? If both are working I would presume that there is a bad connection between connector and pickup circuit.

I believe that most GM vehicles use a brown color wire for the tail/parking light circuit. Try this, connect a jumper wire from the HM tail light circuit plug to a brown wire near one of the tail lights. Also connect a ground wire from frame of MH to Truck frame. Could either do to a front light, or back up truck to MH, and use back tail light. If lights come on then you have isolated the problem to between the connector and where connection was made in truck.
