Is it legal for a full timer to use someone else’s address with permission from the home owners t use as their address ?

Yes, they are just using your address as their legal address. It would be no different than if your son, daughter, brother, etc. used your address.
Make arrangements for mail forwarding, especially the local tax bill, if any, jury duty notices or any other legal requirements.
And, if someone is using your address, be prepared for the possibility of bill collectors knocking on your door. :)
