Yeah, I hate paying this stupid RTA tax that my home address falls into.. I won't ever use RTA (Regional Transit Authority) I am paying some $1000 a year more because of it... I voted against it and so did the county I live in (Pierce county), but since King and Snohomish county PASSED it, I have to pay too.. SUCKS...
Maybe I should change my address to my folks house that is outside of this so I don't have to pay that stupid tax......................
Where I live, they do check on these things now because a lot of folks would register their rigs in OREGON when they actually lived in WASHINGTON to get out of the higher registration fees between the two states..
Like was said, if it's just to forward mail, that's one thing.. But if it's to get out of paying taxes and fees for where you really call home... Well, that's all on you... Do it if you want or think it's a fair thing to do for the rest of us... Or move to where the actual tax is not so much... Agian, your choice... :(
My folks are retired and 'snow bird' between WA and AZ.. They have to establish residency in some state... They choose WA. When they go to AZ, they can only stay there for 6 months before having to go back to WA so they don't become a AZ resident.. I guess if you are traveling between all 50 states, I don't know, but you still do have to establish a resident state and go with what that state allows for not actually being in that state.. Dunno... Looks like you have a lot more research to do for what your full time lifestyle is..
Good luck!
