Read the contract. If you are purchasing a new item with a 1 year manufacturers warranty and you buy a 7 year ext warranty as part of the deal, you are actually only getting to use 6 of the 7 years. The last time I bought a new vehicle, the finance manager could not believe that I was refusing the extended warranty. "What will you do when it breaks down?" he asked. I answered, "If you are so sure that it will happen that quick, forget it. I will go buy a Chevy instead."
