Is there a good app for long distance secondary roads?

We loved the Benchmark series of individual state atlases. They showed secondary and gravel roads very clearly. They're only published for the western states. If you stay or return to a certain state a lot it's worthwhile getting one. They also show public lands and campgrounds.

I like to see a bigger picture of the area rather than on a phone.
