Is there a type of insurance that covers this?

I got some bad gas. Repairs were $750, cheap motel for a week was another $750 (shop would not let me stay in my RV). Cancellation fees at parks I had reservations at were $200. Total $1700. I wa...

This was two years ago; I know the freeway exit but have no idea which station we used.

I am asking mainly about insurance for the next trip.

(I had not thought about going after my insurance for the past event until people in this thread mentioned it. It;'s true that, having a hundreds thousand dollars into the insurance fund over the years, I would not mind getting a tiny percentage back.)
