It was about 5 minutes from gas purchase to noticing problems. We were on the on ramp, getting back onto the freeway after stopping midtrip for gas.
OK, but a casual reader would assume that the "bad gas" was used for moving the vehicle in a two year time period, being replaced many times by good, new gas, in the ensuing time period.
IOW, a fuel system problem would not surface two years later from buying contaminated gas once. The effects would be immediate and noticeable, especially if effecting the different parts of the fuel system.
If you did have contaminated gas and let it sit in the system for two years (in fact, any gas left for that long), you would have problems.
