Is there a type of insurance that covers this?

I got some bad gas. Repairs were $750, cheap motel for a week was another $750 (shop would not let me stay in my RV). Cancellation fees at parks I had reservations at were $200. Total $1700.

I was disappointed that none of this was covered by my auto insurance. Is there some kind of travel insurance that would have helped?

  • If you could prove who sold you the gas that caused the damage, you may consider to go in that direction.
  • I think I'de be more upset about a $750 bill to drain out the bad gas!!!

It's nothing more than draining the tank and a new filter.
  • It's generally covered by your auto insurance even though your didn't.
You might talk to your state Ins. Commisioner to see if they should have paid for the damage.
