It was about 5 minutes from gas purchase to noticing problems. We were on the on ramp, getting back onto the freeway after stopping midtrip for gas.

It's nothing more than draining the tank and a new filter.

You might want to think that through a bit farther. For example, what does the shop do with 30 gallons of hazardous waste? Because that's what it is. They can't sell it. They can't use it. They can't even give it away. They have to pay someone to haul it away and dispose of it properly. And as the OP mentions later, there were other repairs involved.

Does anything cover campgrounds? Car repairs due to external factors like bad gas?

I can see where Trip Interruption insurance could cover your lodging costs, but why would it cover the repairs or CG cancellation fees ?

Bad fuel is a very tough claim. The fuel station will rightly argue it wasn't them if there isn't a bunch of similar claims within a very narrow window. Fact is, injectors clog, moisture does condensate in a fuel tank (Your vehicles, not the fuel station) and many other things can occur that are no fault of the fuel or the fuel station. Any claim is likely to be challenged as just normal maintenance unless there is direct evidence you really did get a batch of bad fuel. (which is actually very uncommon unless you were dealing with a very remote, seldom used gas station, not one off of the interstate that sells out their supply tanks every couple of days. )
