I have several ideas but don't know which is best or if you are comfortable with or....
Black Racers are intelligent and answer to commands whenetrained but it might seriously unnerve your guest and me. I man I can handle the but one crawlingfrom behind the couch and tickling my ear with his little forked tongue might be too much. They will gt any mouse in the house and perhaps keep any burglars out too. They can be aggressive with intruders.I'm not kidding about being intelligent. I don't remember who it was that kept one in the house as pet.
One thing for sure it would be an interesting proposition around the campfire.
