I've caught many a mouse in these sticky traps. If I'm in bed at night I always knew when I caught one because they make quite a racket when trying to escape. the one downside is the mouse is usually still alive and you need to dispatch it another way. I even had a mouse chew off its leg and get away. I never found it. I eventually went back to the old fashioned spring traps. At least they usually killed the rodent.
