Everything from no roof no grid, to off grid with canvas roof… moved to on grid and solid sides from
-20*F to +108*F… state, federal, and farm lands, to state, county and COE parks… private CG, fairgrounds, to resorts, and asphalt overnight… free camping, club camping, group camping, memberships (4), and member owned and operated camping, and I loved it all and have no regrets from any of it… to say I only is so limiting…
Today I spend 2 to 3 months wondering the hills, valleys, mountains and low lands,4 to 5 months maybe more in warm sunny Florida, and 5 to 6 months on my owned and deeded lot within a private members only campground, that many of you wouldn’t care to stay at… I know the numbers don’t add up but that is only because of the fluidity and freedom to wonder and roam from my base Camp…
The thing is it’s all good for some, and all there for someone’s enjoyment… even though I have choose not to limit my options to just one type of camping, I have ruled out ground camping, freezing the tent to reduce the wind and air exchange that at my age are no longer appealing to me, I certainly know why they and all of those types of camping appeal to some others…
We are all blessed to have the freedoms we have, but we are all responsible to nurture them for those that follow us… this is my biggest fear…
