I think I am camping when using my tent or sleeping in the back of the car, and RVing whem I'm in the motorhome. I think having a porch or awning for a RV is a strange place to start drawing a line between camping and not camping.
A RV located in a seasonal site is to me more like a vacation cabin, but in a place where I can't afford to buy the land to build on.
A lot of people call it camping when they go to their 3000 sq ft "cabin" at the lake, or up in a mountain resort community. It is different from being at home, that's enough for them.
