Couldn't believe the CG owners allowed it.... but whatever.
I don't see why they shouldn't allow it?? They paid for their electric site like anyone else...
Your right but it is exactly this attitude that drives cost upward for everyone…
so because you paid for an electric site like everyone else, you should run an electric heater and the AC at the same time… after all the idea of camping at the CG is so you can get your fair share… :S
I just wonder if this individual would set that up at home and run the AC on his dime 24/7… I doubt it…
How do you limit it? And the one that caress should be the campground owner that is paying the bills. No different than an rv with 50 amp having to run both ac's or ac's at all. We were camping this sprig and there was a 5th wheel running their ac's behind us. We were outside with jackets on. He paid the $30 like we did. The $30 should take into consideration that the user is going to be running their ac non stop for 24 hrs.
And let's go back to the statement about the campground owner having to pay someone to clean the bath house. Is he paying them by the hour, a salary or on a needed basis? I would gather to say that the person is getting paid whether they are scrubbing a toilet or not. There's no loss. You pay them to clean the bathrooms x amount of times a day. They clean them x amount of times a day. Some times it might take a little more work than others. There no loss. Except for fun time for he toilet scrubber.
I don’t know how you control it… I guess we just have to pay for the irresponsibility of others… we always do…
When I grew up camping conservation and resource management were always a major component, a part of the camping experience…
To me there is a huge difference between use and waste, and that is true when in a tent or a MH with 3 AC’s… there is absolutely no difference… but it’s not a case that because one unit requires more that I need to try to use more so I don’t feel cheated… nor is it unfair that the other guys unit requires more power, or more water, or anything else than mine…
YA, RIGHT all cost are fixed and heavy use has no bearing on cost, or overcrowded facilities do wonders to reduce complaints the management to deal with… maybe with tunnel vision and no apparent knowledge of the aggregate cost over time… :S
